Jacqueline Carey

As associate director of public affairs, I am responsible for strategic content creation and media relations covering the University of Illinois at Chicago's health sciences colleges and UI Health, UIC's clinical health enterprise and academic medical center.

I am passionate about storytelling and am proud to help find and share powerful UIC student, patient and faculty stories and promote the impactful, leading research initiatives of our community to internal and external audiences.

My past experience spans communication and public relations in both higher education and health care, most recently at Kendall College and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I am a graduate of Boston University, where I earned a master’s degree in communication, and of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature and rhetoric.
